NURSERY PLACES - UPDATE January 2026

We are now offering a new STRETCH OFFER which means that your funding is stretched across the School Holidays - thus avoiding a huge bill if you need childcare over the Summer Holidays for example and giving you a consistent monthly payment.

Our Nursery offers full day care and sessional care, all year round for children aged 10 mths to Preschool age.

The Mohair Centre provides day and sessional care for Babies, Tiddlers, Toddlers and Preschool in a unique Farm-based / Forest School environment. We are registered with Ofsted and offer Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE) funding from 9mth - 4 year olds, for working parents who qualify.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE NOW RUN A NURSERY BREAKFAST CLUB SESSION 7.30-8am for those who need that extra bit of childcare.

We believe in using the outdoor farm and woodland environment as the best classroom possible. We strongly believe in the ethos of ‘SELF DIRECTED PLAY’ and this governs activities at the Mohair Centre as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). For us the children will learn skills way beyond their development age if they follow their own instincts and interests.

Adult-led learning will also be part of your child's development and our staff are trained to develop self-directed play as far as safety allows and as far as the child wishes to go! For us this is the key to children learning and developing through using their imagination to reach their full potential.
